"Old Style" Navajo Cuff with Kingman Turquoise by Calvin Martinez

Sterling silver cuff by Calvin Martinez (b.1960-, Navajo). Hallmarked C.MTZ, Sterling. Multi band open back with single band shanks. Two appliques with ornate stamping flank the center high-grade natural Kingman turquoise. The stone is set into a twisted wire shadowbox followed by a micro drop outer edge. Calvin comes from a well- known family of silversmiths; his brother Terry Martinez, is also a well-known silversmith. Calvin’s jewelry is made with traditional old techniques, he makes everything by hand, including hand cutting his bezels.
