Old Natural Royston Turquoise Heishi Necklace

Santo Domingo Pueblo necklace made of antique natural Royston turquoise beads. The stone colors span sage and sea foam green tones through to dark forest green with chocolate brown matrix. The beads have soft worn edges and an overall deep wax sheen throughout, appropriate for the age. 

This material was originally acquired as a broken necklace in Santa Fe, NM. It was 1:1 transfer restrung on Belgian made Griffin HP, a extremely high tensile strength fibre cord which drapes similarly to cotton string but allows for security in everyday wear. The necklace is closed with a pueblo wrap made from Fil Au Chinois waxed linen thread, a french made material with higher sheen and resistance to piling than normal cotton.
