Antique Sicilian Coral and Cerrillos Turquoise Double Strand Tab Necklace

Beautiful antique natural Sciacca (Sicilian) coral double strand of rondelle shaped beads (~4mm-4.5mm). Natural "greasy" green Cerrillos turquoise heishi beads, natural Cerrillos tab stones, and sterling pearl beads in "trade necklace" configuration. Classic early-century Santo Domingo composition, finished with with a pueblo wrap. The coral, Cerrillos beads and tabs stones all are antique showing strong wear and patina. In person the coral reads as faded orange, trout colored, the Cerrillos heishi is deep dark green, and tab stones range from dark forest to sage green.

This material was originally acquired as a broken necklace in Santa Fe, NM. It was 1:1 transfer restrung on Belgian made Griffin HP, a extremely high tensile strength fibre cord which drapes similarly to cotton string but allows for security in everyday wear. The necklace is closed with a pueblo wrap made from Fil Au Chinois waxed linen thread, a french made material with higher sheen and resistance to piling than normal cotton.
