Old Style Large Tab Necklace by Ray Lovato
Dimensions
- Length: 28" (including ~6" wrap)
28" total length with a ~6" wrap and Ray Lovato's signature "sing stone" made of spiny oyster. The necklace is designed in the early-century Pueblo tab configuration. The tab stones are more natural, contain heavy host rock, and more prominent matrix when compared to his other more modernistic work. Overall the tabs have a slight graduation from the ends to the drop point. High variance in stone coloration, from pale blue to robin's egg blue, with a single stone leaning dark teal. Caramel to light brown heavy matrix through all stones. The composition reads as "raw/rugged" and "natural", with the stones showing a glass-like finish. Circa 1990.
Purchased directly from Ray Lovato by the wonderful Joan Caballero, personal friend of the Lovato family.
